Fall may be right around the corner, but in many places, summer is still sweltering. This means fleas, ticks and mosquitoes (read: heartworms) are still buzzing about. As a sensible pet parent, you know that mid-August is no time to let your guard down. Unfortunately, this also means that poor Fido has been enduring the evils of flea and heartworm prevention for many weeks now.

While keeping parasites away from your furry friend is absolutely vital for keeping them healthy, most preventative products come with the price of some chemicals that may hang around in your pet’s system. While these toxins pose no immediate danger to your pet, long term exposure can lead to trouble down the line.

Similarly, the chemicals found in the recipes for most vaccines are less than desirable. While a rabies vaccine provides lifesaving protection from the rabies virus, it also contains many ingredients that can cause reactions or internal damage.

You see? Even when we are doing the very best for our pets, sometimes toxin exposure is purely unavoidable. Our domesticated buddies can even encounter chemicals on our linens and clothes, even our carpets and floors. But that doesn’t mean you’re doing a bad job as a pet parent, or that your pet has to become ill. This is why I generally recommend a Holistic General Detox program for most of my patients.

An occasional detox is a great way to flush heavy metals, toxins and other foreign substances out of the body. It’s actually very simple, and extremely safe for pets. Tune into my Facebook page this Wednesday, August 21st at 4PM PST to learn more about my Holistic Detox Program for Pets. I’ll tell you how supporting healthy liver function, combined with a few other therapies, can help your pet naturally detox and leave their system clean and functioning at peak performance.

As you know, my favorite part of what I do is being able to help pet parents like you keep their favorite furballs as healthy as possible. Healthy diet and mindful lifestyle choices are the best place to start. But having an Ally for your pet, who knows the ins-and-outs of veterinary medicine, can be irreplaceable. That’s why I’m here, to guide you through tough times or just to keep your pet on track. So please, don’t hesitate to reach out and let me know how I can help your pet.

I also want to let you know that next month I’ll be launching a new Member’s Area on my site. Membership will give you access to all of my Live Broadcast on my Facebook page (including those in the exclusive Crockpet Cooks Community. The videos will all be searchable by topic, with downloadable audio files and transcripts for most of the videos. This means you can get my advice on any topic, in any way you’d like it delivered, on demand. As new broadcasts are made, I’ll upload them as well!

Once a month, I’ll host a Live teaching event with my members, with a Q&A session to follow. I will also have special guests join me during these teaching events, to offer expertise on new topics. Stay tuned for more details on how you can sign up, and how to get started!

I look forward to hearing from you, and to learning more about how I can help your pet live their healthiest life.
